James Temple started his surveying career in 1976 working as a rodman on a survey crew in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the late 70’s and early 80’s he attended the University of Arkansas where he had the pleasure of studying Land Surveying under Dr. Elgin and Dr. Knowles. He obtained his first license in Arkansas in 1984 and has since gone on to become licensed in a total of 15 states, two of which are non-Public Land Survey States. He became a Certified Federal Surveyor (CFedS) in 2010. Throughout his career he has held every survey position from rodman on up to his current position as Vice-President of Energy Services at Crafton Tull’s Conway office where he is concentrating on providing training to the young surveyors coming up through the ranks. He is currently a member of ASPS, OSLS and TSPS.
